Clash Royale just had a soft launch and while the game is from the developers of Clash of Clans, it has been build independently of the team with its developers claiming that the game offers a completely new experience.
Supercell has taken inspiration from Clash of Clans for the characters and cards based system from games like Hearthstone and what it has done is combined them to develop a time-based competitive strategy game that is similar to the ones like Dota 2 or League of Legends.
While we do not have access to the game yet because of the country specific launch that the company has decided to opt for, we have managed to bring for you a first look and review soft of thing from one of the YouTuber who has made some pretty cool videos about Clash of Clans.
According to the reviewer, Clash Royale has a lot of potential, but one thing that he has noticed is the connectivity issues that make the game play a little difficult considering that he wouldn’t be able to do anything at the time and his opponent can effectively bombard him with all kinds of attacks.
Another issue that he has noticed is the match making where you as a player can be paired up against a player with higher set of cards and if that happens, you will effectively have no way of beating the player as they will be able to overpower you with their advanced set of cards that they could have bought. This brings up a scenario that effectively makes the game ‘pay to win’ and from past experience, such games haven’t really fared well with gamers.
